National Gallery Master Copies

In the Fall of 2024, the National Gallery of Art (NGA) in Washington, DC accepted me in their copyist program, allowing me to paint on-site in the museum. It’s a dream come true for a painter to have this kind of prolonged, in-person study with the masters. Come watch me paint every Wednesday at the National Gallery and visit my Instagram for more about my current master study project.

Left to right: my copies of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo’s Two Women at a Window (1655), Jan Lievens’s Man with a Beret (1630), Mary Cassatt’s Woman with a Sunflower (1905).
